Tamara is a fully qualified cheerleading coach and accredited through Gymnastics Queensland, AASCF USACF and NCSSE, this allows her to safely teach your child dance, sports aerobics, sports acrobatics, cheerleading principles and gymnastics tumbling- this is an essential qualification.

She has trained/worked with Elan Cheerleading, trained the SeaFM Cheerleading squad for the opening of Earlville cinemas, trained the Cairns Marlins Cheer Squad since 2005, and trained the Southside Scorpions 2005-2008. Tamara has also coached the Cairns High Bulldogs in 2007.She has now opened her own club- Awesome Cheerleading. She was a dance teacher and coached Cheerleading at Trinity Bay High School which won the junior division of the North Queensland Schools Cheerleading Competition 2008. In 2009 Tamara was a Dance teacher with Cairns State High School as well as Peace Lutheran College where she started a Cheer Squad also.

Awesome Cheerleading won two firsts and a second at their first competition at World Cup Cheerleading Round 1 2008 and five firsts and a second at World Cup Cheerleading Round 2 in Townsville. 2009 saw us entering many more competitions in all disciplines around Australia we attended the UCA cheer camp in Brisbane (january) competed in Aerobics in Brisbane, Cheerleading, Dance and Stunt competitions in both Cairns and Townsville.  We achieved many first and second placing at all events.  Our entrants for Sports Aerobics were the first ever to represent Cairns. 2009 also saw us host our first annual Cheer competition with teams from schools around Cairns as well as teams from Townsville travelling up to compete.  We performed at numerous functions including the Sports Expo and Pak Mag Events.

2010 sees us pursing excellence again with Awesome Cheerleading offering more classes than ever before.  We welcome new guest coaches and look forward to many exciting opportunities for our students.
